How to change text size

This site has been designed so that its text is easily readable when viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) using its default settings. MSIE is still the most commonly used browser. Other browsers may render the text differently. Perhaps the size you see does not suit you? Most browsers, including MSIE, provide a way to make the text bigger or smaller. Here's how with the commoner browsers ...

  • Internet Explorer - what you do depends on the version you are using
Version 6: from the menu bar select View, then Text Size, and choose a suitable text size.
Version 7: in this version you have the choice of either of changing just the text size (as in version 6), or of scaling (zooming) the whole page image (in the manner of Opera). Both options are accessed from the Page icon near the top right of the page - click the down arrowhead at the right of the icon, and choose either Zoom or Text Size from the resulting menu.
  • Firefox - from the menu bar select View, then Text Size, and choose Increase or Decrease.
Alternatively, using Ctrl + (hold the control key [Mac users: command key] down and press the plus key) will increase text size, while Ctrl - (hold the control key [Mac users: command key] down and press the minus key) will decrease it.
  • Opera - from the menu bar select View, then Zoom, and choose a suitable increase or decrease. Unlike the other browsers, Opera will increase or decrease the whole page image, not just its text.

If yours is not one of these browsers, and you don't already know how to change text size, try searching for the information in the browser's Help file. This is usually accessible via the last entry on the menu bar, or by pressing the F1 key if you use MS Windows.
